Tim loves his job at GIA because – “It is the best avenue available for me to do what God has created me to do.”

Tim Goodwin graduated from Berry College with a degree in Finance. Upon graduation he went to work for a local financial firm, but quickly learned that his personal values and the values of the firm did not line up. So he started his own firm, Goodwin Investment Advisory, in Woodstock, Georgia, because –

“I saw the need for a different kind of financial firm that upheld my values of integrity, honesty and trust. A firm that operated in the best interest of its clients at all times and fulfilled my vision to lead all people to financial peace, independence and generosity.”

Tim has cultivated a culture of client-focused service, helping clients become the heroes of their own finances by guiding them with GIA’s trademarked unique processes. Tim lives in Canton, GA on a mini-farm with his beautiful wife and college sweetheart, Maureen, and three exceptional daughters (Canaan, Shiloh, and Eden). Plus, 7 chickens, 5 peacocks,  4 ducks, 3 sheep, 2 goats, 2, sugar bears, 2 cats, 1 goose,1 dog, and a partridge in a pear tree. He loves to sit on his front porch in the evenings with his wife and watch his girls play across the pond in their treehouse, while sipping a Kentucky mule, or a glass of wine. On nights Atlanta United is playing however, you will find him cheering in the supporter section! On Sunday mornings the Goodwin family enjoys attending and volunteering at Woodstock City Church.

If Tim could share one message with the world it would be, “the greatest adventure is continuously discovering how much you mean to God!”

The best piece of advice he has ever received was, “In humility value others above yourself.” – Phil 2:3 This quote has permeated his life in every aspect.
