A lifelong resident of Cherokee County, Jamie was born and raised in Ball Ground, GA. She passed the CPA exam on her first attempt in 2007.
Jamie’s leadership in the community is extensive—she’s served on the Board of the Anna Crawford Children’s Center since 2015 (including as Treasurer and Board Chair), was a founding member and President of Empowered Women Through Synergy, and held a seat on the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce Board. Best Advice She’s Ever Received –
“My dad always said, ‘Stick to your guns and shoot straight.’ A client once told me, ‘God doesn’t give us what we can handle—He helps us handle what we’re given.’ I have that quote framed on my desk.”
Advice to Her Younger Self –
“Don’t worry so much. Time flies—enjoy it. Savor life instead of stressing about what’s next.”
If she had a Ferris Bueller-style day? –
Jamie would spend 24 hours with her mom, who passed away in November. “We loved going out to eat together. That’s exactly what I’d do.”
